Taino Music and Storytelling by Irka Mateo

Today I discovered a very fascinating and interesting artist.
Her name is Irka Mateo and she is a Dominican singer, songwriter and world music artist.
From Wikipedia: Her artistic career has been one of breaking boundaries and embracing people’s deepest humanity especially through their music.
The video you are going to watch shows her work at the Smithsonian National Museum of the American Indian on Taíno (an Arawak people who were indigenous peoples of the Caribbean) and their music and storytelling.
Telling stories and making music to meet other worlds, that is wonderful.
Here is the clip from her Youtube Channel.

The Art of Hawaiian Storytelling

Today I discovered a very clever artist. Her name is Kaleo Wheeler, she is a fine storyteller from Hawaii who shares Musical Storytelling with Messages from the Heart, a brilliant hybrid of song, harp, dance & talk story and The Joy is the Voice of Love Center, Balancing Heart, Mind & Spirit, as you may read on her website.
Anyway, you may know her better watching this interesting clip from her Youtube channel:
