The Power of Storytelling in Bangladesh

Today I want to share with you a very interesting clip by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Bangladesh.
The title is The Power of Storytelling: Youth Empowerment through Public Narrative and, as the video description says, it is a good demonstration of how UNDP adapted the concept of Public Narrative developed by Marshall Ganz to its work with youth. Youth have had the opportunity to share their stories, identify common needs and priorities and undertake civic engagement activities in their communities.
I think that it is a great initiative. Storytelling is a giant power, like I already wrote here before. So, if you are talking about the power of telling stories you are speaking of the essence of it. One of them is surely to give youth voices a space to express, share and create groups and common projects.
It is an incredibly educative and stimulating road to walk together, that can also help both who tell and who listen to find the best way to grow up.

The Power of Stoytelling Conference in Bucharest

Today I want to talk about a very interesting event in Bucharest, Romania: The Power of Stoytelling.
What a perfect title for an initiative about telling stories.
I agree so much, that is an incredibly and undervalued tool, sometimes hidden inside our world.
In my humble opinion there are a lot of people who are telling stories or just listening to them without knowint what is really happening.
So, I think it is a power still today not enough known.
From the official website description: A conference built around the idea that stories can change our worlds. The only one of its kind in Eastern Europe, it brings together superstar storytellers in all fields to show the potential of stories to connect people, to heal wounds, to move to action, and to drive change.
The next edition, the 5th, will be on October 9-10, 2015, so stay tuned.
Here is a video presentation from the Youtube channel.
